On 28.7.2026. by powerful electronic beats, Kraftwerk “power plant” began the concert in Croatian Pula Amphitheatre impressively with the song Numbers (1982), as a music for primordial human rhythm of the heart. With an anthemic upright line-up, the 4 performers filled the entire Arena with a light grid of the stage projection, so you could either fit into that matrix or remain critically outside of it.

The legendary German techno group, was founded in 1970. Depersonalized in appearance, with robotic movements in projections, musicians are visionaries and futurists, with their fascination with electronic minimalism, repetition, synthesized music and (after) noise art, as well as an impressive phenomenon in 20th and 21st century music. Their hits, such as The Model (1978) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEnx9xS79Lc influenced electronic dance music, and the song Computer Love (1981)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtWTUt2RZh0&t=14 , explores the collision of technology and romance, questioning the humanization of technology. Furthermore, with the hits Robots(1978) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_8Pma1vHmw and Musique non stop (1986)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0lIlROWro8&t=7s they positioned themselves in the world as the initiators of synth-pop, dance, techno, rap and hip-hop music… They particularly influenced the famous groups Depeche Mode, Coldplay and the Slovenian group Laibach…

A book by cultural scientist Uwe Schütte about the phenomenon of musicians and performers of the group Kraftwerk and the influence of the art movements Bauhaus and Fluxus on their work – Music of the Future: Made in Germany – was recently translated into Croatian.
